Dr. Kanj, Dr. Fertig, and staff,
I was referred to your group by a patient of yours, Maureen B. Maureen told my wife and me just how fantastic all of y ou were. She was not exaggerating.
In june of 2016, I experienced a mild stroke which the doctor at the hospital said may have been caused by poor diabetes control.
After I was discharged from the hospital, I made an appointment with your office. The efficiency, kindness, medical expertise and thorough assessments done by both the staff and Dr. Kanj were like nothing I experienced during an office visit with my previous endocrinologist.
I left the office with two clear thoughts: my stroke was a blessing in disguise and I was going to be just fine.
I have only been a patient for approximately four months, but my A1C has come down considerably. Dr Kanj has worked closely with me to control my blood sugar levels, by tweaking medications and reinforcing my lifestyle changes. He continues to work with my insurance company to secure approval for the medication that works best for me.
It is quite obvious to me that you have an extremely busy practice, but never once have I felt as though I was a bother or an inconvenience to any one of you. This is just how you work each and every day. What you may not realize is just how much it means to your patients and their families.
I do not plan to die from diabetes. With your guidance, I plan to live a full life with diabetes.
